Our Story
Founder Charles S. Gallman opened the first GPS staffing and recruiting office in Orangeburg, SC in 1985. Over the years, the GPS Jobs team expanded both the services offered and the company’s reach to meet growing demand. When Charlie retired in 2018, Nanci Fields, who was hired in 1986 two weeks after she started college, took over as President/CEO. MJ Sorrell, who joined the team in 1988, was promoted to COO. In 2023, Nanci and MJ became co-owners upon purchasing GPS Jobs from Charlie. With offices in Columbia, SC; Newberry, SC; Orangeburg, SC; Summerville, SC; Hot Springs, AR; and Tucson, AZ, the dedicated GPS Jobs team strives every day to live out our mission of, “Serving our communities and enriching lives by connecting people and jobs.”
