Injury Prevention

GPS wants its employees to go home to their loved ones in the same condition they came to work.

Examine the situation, consider all the outcomes, then proceed with your task.

GPS challenge of the week…Pay Attention!  When workers are distracted, they are not paying attention and fail to see hazards, which can lead to injuries. Workers feel pressure to produce, get the job done no matter what it takes.  When this occurs, safety can go to the wayside and injuries will occur. Then there is the “human factor”-financial issues, personal problems, cell phones-all these mental distractions can cause workers to miss potential risks that can lead to injuries.

If you experience or see a safety concern on your assignment, please contact our Safety Hotline at 803-760-1441 or contact your local GPS office.  If you are injured on your assignment, please call MEDCOR at 1-800-775-5866 then contact your local GPS office.

Safeguarding GPS employees by sustaining a culture that promotes safety awareness.
